Tuesday July 8, 2003, 7:44PM<br><br> <table cellpadding=2 width=600 border=0> <tr> Day one coming to a close. Eating some Cinnamon Bannock for dessert at our campsite. We left camp at 10:00am after having a bit of a delay getting out. We made it to seal rock point at about 4:00, only 20 min after Cam's group (who left about 1/2 hour before us). We took the 2nd campsite in from the point about 1/2 km SW. </p>We had fresh sandwiches for lunch at about 12:30 and took about 1/2 hour for that. Had head winds all day, but were able to avoid them by sticking to the west shore. Wind picked up after we got to the campsite and hopefully will die by tomorrow. Dinner was quick to prepare... canned ravioli, smores and bannock. Also had some hot chocolate. I had a short nap when we got here and the kids went swimming. </p>We're going to try to have an early day tomorrow because we have about 17 km to do plus one portage. Our Wannigans are extremely heavy, so it'll be a bit of a challenge. </p>The fire pit isn't the greatest at this site, so we decided not to make bannock for lunch, will likely have dong's 'n cheese. Overall I think moral is high, especially after a good dinner.
