This guy is was based on a 1/16th WWII German Calvary kit, and was converted into a Warhammer 40K figure. Most of the conversion was done on the guy, who is known as a Rough Rider. I made the lance from scratch, added the blueish cloth and added some straps and gear. The straps and reigns were made from an old tooth paste tube cut into strips.
Painting this guy was interesting. Most of my usual techniques don't work on larger scale models, so I had to resort to dry brushing and my airbrush (for the horse mostly). I'm entering this guy in a painting contest on the 26th of August (2001)... Perhaps I'll add something to this page after that... but in the mean time I'll only have the pictures.
