Well... this was an experiment that started over a year ago. I wanted to try out adding a photo etch kit to regular kit. I decided on the jeep because I figured that it wouldn't require to much money, and would be a good start. Also, there are a number of photo etch kits available for the Tamiya 1/35th scale jeep, and a resin Canadian driver from Ultracast.
So it all started out fine... photo etch parts are really small, and I lost many to my floor, but in the end it turned out ok. I also tried a number of new techniques for weathering it using oils and Acrylics. I think it was a success, but there is still room for improvement.
