Here's pictures of Gamesworkshop's Cave troll figure for the
LOTR table top game. I painted this guy over 11 days now and then. Not
much to say, the pictures speak for themselves. He's about 1.75 inches tall.
UPDATE Feb 6/02...
well, I painted this guy to enter into a painting competition, and won.
Below is the certificate I won...
This Saturday (Feb 9/02) is heat 2. When I won heat one they gave
me two free models... Isildur and Elendil. The rules say that I can
enter up to three models in each heat, and they don't have to be the same
as the previous heat. So, I painted Elendil tonight, and will enter
him along with the cave troll. I really exercised my speed painting
skills with Elendil, as he only took 4 hours from start to finish (including
time to go out and grab a Sub and watch a bit of TV). Pictures of him
are below the cavetroll.
ANOTHER UPDATE Feb 9/02...
Ok, heat 2 is over and I won that one too. I was pretty surprised,
but really happy that I have the chance to go on. It was the cave troll
that won it for me, so I think I'll try to paint another 2 models to enter
in the next level. I have until the beginning of March, so that should
be enough time to do a good job. Also, for this round I won the "Battle
at Khazad-dum" box set which has models of Gandalf and the Balrog.
ANOTHER UPDATE Feb 19/02...
Have my models ready for the third round... check them out here...
