BRIGGS, Mabel Frances (nee Curtis) - Peacefully, at River Glen Haven Nursing Home, Sutton West, as a result of a stroke, after an eight year struggle with Alzheimer Disease on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at the age of 91 years. Loving wife of the late Harold Briggs and devoted mother of Philip (Patricia) of Huntsville; Lois (Martin Webster) of Paris ON; Dorothy (Wendell Goodwin) of Pefferlaw; Kathleen (David Graham) of Georgetown; David (Kathy) of Calgary; Frances (James Morrison) of Pefferlaw; Thomas (Nancy) of Sutton West and Stephen (Roxanne) of Keswick. She leaves 29 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Predeceased by one grandson, by all her nine brothers and sisters and her parents David and Alice Curtis of Toronto. Mabel spent her life serving others not only her family, but in her Christian faith centered around the Word of God. She was a faithful member of the Christadelphians and firmly believed in the saving work of Jesus and His return to this earth as King in a literal divine kingdom. We pray her sleep in Christ will be short as she awaits the resurrection call. Rested at the Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton from 7-9 p.m. Monday. Funeral Service was held in the chapel Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Briar Hill Cemetery, Sutton.
