07/28/2008: "Day 123 (Weekly update)"
Well, another week has passed and there isn't too much new information to pass along. I think the last couple of weeks have been like this, and as a result Kate and I have decided to make these postings monthly from now on. Yesterday was 4 months since the accident, so it seems fitting to move to a monthly schedule now. Unless anything big comes up, our next post will be in one month, on or around August 27th. In that time we expect to continue a similar schedule of therapy, appointments, and exercises.
Thank you to everybody for you continued notes, emails, phone calls, visits and prayers. Kate and I are very thankful for all of the support that we have had over the past 4 months. We know that her progress and positive attitude have a lot to do with that support. Please keep Kate and I in your prayers as we make our way through the daily hurdles.

What? Once a month? I don't have cable. What am I supposed to do for entertainment?

I still carry in my mind the picture of Kate setting aside the walker, taking up the cane and walking up the aisle at Sarah's wedding. I hate when people sound cliche or ingenuous so know that when I say that you Kate are one of the bravest people I know, I mean it.
We will continue to press God for strength, courage, patience, and healing for you both.
tons of love,

It has been a busy time with Charle arriving home from his training for Afghanistan ,but we wanted to touch base to tell you , you are both in our thoughts and prayers, and we pray that our Lord Jesus Christ and God our Father who loves you, will by his grace give you encouragement and good hope, that your hearts will be encouraged and strenghtened to accomplish each task that is ahead of you.We love you and want you to know we pray for brothers and sisters in Christ to be there to hold you up physically not just in prayer ,for those days when it just seems too much.He has proven to be a gracious God to us through what has seemed like unbearable times.I know He is walking with you through this even when it feels He isn't.
