09/21/2005: "Vermillion River"

A few of the guys from work and I went for an afternoon canoe trip on the Vermillion river today. The plan was to put in where the river crosses highway 17 (west of Lively), and paddle up to a waterfall and back again. We went north a bit only to get to a set of rapids with no clear portage... then we went south of the highway down to a different waterfall and back again.
